OUR STORY

Our brand journey is deeply intertwined with the breath-taking beauty of MALDIVES. Renowned globally for its marine beauty and pristine beaches, which also kept us inspired to our commitment to preserve the beauty.

In 2018, Maldives announces the plan towards the banning of single use plastics. we “Global RIWA” took the opportunity to align our values with eco-friendly choices and planned transition of our single -use plastic products to sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives. 

 

As a result, in 2018, we proudly introduced TURMAL bearing the bold slogan” SAVE MY HOME” accompanied by a turtle emblem. This marked the inception of our commitment to preserve Maldives natural beauty and support the global movement towards reducing plastic pollution. 

 

To meet the growing demand and keep the hotels ready to support the cause. Our first product on this journey was the paper straw making an eco-impact.

 

As we continue to expand our range of sustainable products and our efforts are ongoing to reduce further carbon footprint and explore eco-friendly packaging materials which are sourced from FSC certified sources.
